Sankofa Saturdays @ AMBBAC is not a boring sit down and say nothing experience! This is a dynamic, child-centered experience that encourages active engagement with a lot of fun! At Sankofa Saturdays children are immersed in the rich culture and history of the African diaspora through hands-on learning, movement and skills building activities.

Throughout Sankofa Saturdays, children will engage in critical thinking activities designed to build leadership skills, strengthen self-esteem, and develop a wealth of knowledge. Children will (re)discover how knowledge is empowering, liberating, and self-affirming. All children are welcome regardless of race, color, ethnicity, or national origin. Sankofa Saturdays @ AMBACC will equip children with a healthy worldview and the skills to help shape the world now and in the future.

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (children ages 5-15). Lunch provided. This is a drop-in program; registration in advance or on-site is required. First come first served, seats are limited to 25 children
